I Skyped with Areeayl Goodwin, the jewellery designer behind Indya Moore’s show-stopping earrings – that paid homage to black trans women – at the New York Fashion Media Awards. Our conversation was incredibly candid and vulnerable, and you can read it over at gal-dem here.

Last month, I had the pleasure of visiting niche perfumer Maya Njie at her studio in Canary Wharf. Njie’s unique use of her family’s photo albums as a springboard for creating scents inspired by Sweden and The Gambia is completely fascinating to witness. You can read about her story on gal-dem by yours truly.

Covering really niche and wonderful Instagram accounts is something that feels extremely on brand. The hours spent trawling through the app have amounted to some really excellent finds. For AnOther, I spoke to NY-based film critic and journalist Kristen Yoonsoo Kim, who runs @meals.on.reels – a truly excellent page finding iconic meals on film. For your next movie night, why don’t you prepare a wine and cheese spread, and choose from a selection of cult films from her account? You won’t regret it.
